DNS filtering works when devices use GladNoAd. Encrypted DNS, Private Relay, or other resolvers can bypass it. It won’t remove every ad or prevent every form of tracking.

you’re getting.
Is this a router or a VPN?
GladNoAd is a DNS filtering device that works with your existing network. It checks domain lookups against blocking rules. It does not replace your router, encrypt all your traffic, or make you anonymous.
Will it block every ad and tracker?
No. It blocks matching DNS requests that reach it. Ads served from the same domains as wanted content can remain, and devices using other DNS services can bypass filtering.
What if an app stops working?
Find the domain in Recently Blocked and allow it. You can also use Frictionless mode for selected devices, or pause filtering for five minutes to help diagnose the issue.
What updates automatically?
The domain blocklists refresh nightly. This version does not support firmware updates. Nightly maintenance includes a brief restart, during which DNS service pauses.
Do I need a subscription?
